As an HFC Design Engineer on the Telecommunications team you will be responsible for designing and optimizing Hybrid Fiber-Coaxial (HFC) networks to deliver high-speed broadband services. This role involves: Creating network architectures, ensuring the efficient integration of fiber and coaxial components to meet performance and reliability standards. Sizing of serving boundaries using GIS address data; analyze, interpret, and organize large datasets Determine feeder routes, distribution routes, and drops to premises by utilizing, parcel, ROW, and easement documentation Determine fiber and coax component allocations Reviewing field staking sheets, as-Builts and field collected data to determine the optimal running line and construction method. Analyze aerial Imagery and general maps to identify existing utilities or potential obstructions; and produce and review high quality constructible plan sets using GIS based software.
